The Event FestivalThe Event Festival for the Waitakere Half is at the Start/Finish line at 96 Swanson Road. This is an all weather site thanks to the Waitemata Rugby Club, this means that even in bad weather we will have space to set up the festival area on solid ground in the carpark. The event has a long standing 20 year history in the West Auckland community and at its peak hosted over 1000 participants. We aim to get back to this number this year and celebrate 20 years in style. We encourage all of our community to engage with the participants at this events. We are offering 4m x 4m spaces to both commercial and community groups to operate throughout the event, with a special focus on health promotion. We are now taking expressions of interest for stall holders, vendors and community groups, on a first in first served basis. All funds raised will be put back into the community through the WESTY Trusts. We are offering the following rates Community groups/ clubs - $50.00 Commercial/Vendors - $150.00 These rates do not include the use of a pop up and will require all rubbish generated to be removed from the site by each group. Should you require a pop up gazebo these are available with reasonable notice for $175.00, any damages will be passed on to the user.
